09 December 2020 The railway connections between Italy and Switzerland have been confirmed: this is the outcome of today's meeting between the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Paola De Micheli, and her counterpart and current president of the Swiss Confederation, Simonetta Sommaruga.
During the call, there was broad agreement on the need to ensure continuity of passenger transport between the two countries.
The interview was followed by a technical meeting via videoconference, which was attended, in addition to the MIT, by the representatives of the Ministry of the Interior, the Italian and Swiss railway companies.
