The Bahraini national carrier Gulf Air said on Wednesday that it had signed five agreements with Israeli entities during a visit by a Bahraini economic delegation to Israel during the last week.

The Bahraini company has reached an agreement with the Tal Aviation Group, according to which the group will represent Gulf Air in Israel.

The Bahraini airline entered into an agreement with the Israel Aerospace Group to take over the maintenance of Gulf Air planes that land at Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv.

The company signed an agreement with "QAS" Israel Ltd. related to ground handling, cargo and other airport services, and an agreement with "Newrest" Israel to provide food on board aircraft.

Bahrain and Israel launched official relations last September, and Gulf Air had signed a memorandum of understanding with the Israeli carrier El Al Airlines on Thursday.
