Weißenfels (dpa) - The basketball players from Syntainics MBC have missed a Bundesliga sensation.
The Weißenfelser lost on Tuesday evening to the title favorites FC Bayern Munich after a big fight with 84:96 (52:45).
While the Central Germans conceded their fourth defeat in the fourth game, the still unbeaten guests maintained their top position in the basketball Bundesliga.
JaJuan Johnson (22), DJ Seeley (17) and Jalen Reynolds (16) had the largest share of the success for the guests.
Michal Michalak (23) and Kyndahl Hill (15) scored the most points for the Weißenfels team.
The outsider dominated the action on the floor for a long time and defied the favorite for 30 minutes.
After 14 minutes, the Weißenfelser were ahead with 45:30, they took advantage of this cushion until the 28th minute (65:66) and went into the last quarter with a 70:71 deficit.
In the final phase, however, the Munich team played their individual class and moved away from 78:73 (33rd) to 88:75 (36th).
