Magdeburg (AP) - Handball Bundesliga club SC Magdeburg has celebrated the fourth victory in the fifth game in the European League and has further chances of winning the group.

Against the Croatian representative RK Nexe Našice a 28:23 (17:10) was achieved on Tuesday evening.

The best throwers were Gisli Kristjansson (6) at SCM and Halil Jaganjac (7) at Našice.

After hectic and mistaken opening minutes, the SCM got better and better into the game and threw a three-goal lead out (7: 4/11.).

The guests often got stuck on the Magdeburg defense, but the SCM only rarely got into its tempo game.

Našice tried the seventh outfield player, but that only meant that Magdeburg's lead grew to seven goals.

After the break, the Magdeburg team took it a little too calmly - and the lead melted (22: 17/38.).

The SCM was also less consistent at the front, but the guests couldn't get any closer than four hits.
