"In order to preserve phytosanitary well-being, to prevent the import and spread of these pests in the territory of the Russian Federation, the Rosselkhoznadzor is forced from December 10, 2020 to ban the import of tomatoes and apples of Azerbaijani origin into Russia," RIA Novosti reported.
The service notes that it has repeatedly informed the Food Security Agency of Azerbaijan about systematic cases of detection of quarantine objects in products.
Earlier it was reported that the Rosselkhoznadzor introduced temporary restrictions on the import of birds from a number of EU countries.
