Federley, who is the second deputy chairman of the Center Party and a member of the European Parliament, is currently on sick leave after it became known this week that a man who was close to Federley in 2014 was sentenced to a long prison term for, among other things, several aggravated rapes of children.

Last week, the Center Party's leadership received a letter from people who have known Fredrick Federley for a long time.

Information on anonymous reports of unrest

From the letter, which SVT has read, and from supplementary information that the Center Management also received, it appears that Federley already in June this year knew that the convicted man was in prison for a serious crime and that it made it difficult for Federley to have a lasting relationship with him.

Additional information that SVT has received shows that Federley also knew that the verdict was about child abuse.

The center management has also received information that an anonymous report of concern has been submitted against Federley and that Federley in connection with this has indicated that his contacts at the Security Police can find out who the report comes from, something which according to the letter writers was perceived as threatening.

C will announce tomorrow

The Center Party leadership said last week that it had received information about the verdict against Federley's relatives at the end of November, that history had damaged confidence in Federley, but that at the same time it was too early to say anything about his future in the Center Party.

SVT has sought party leader Annie Lööf and party secretary Michael Arthursson for a comment regarding the letter since last Friday, but they have declined over the weekend.

Today, the party's press service answers SVT Nyheter that tomorrow, Wednesday, we will receive an answer to the question of how the party should act.

We have also searched for Fredrick Federley, but without success.

Last week, he replied in a text message that he was on sick leave and could not bear an interview.
