This was stated by Gaetano Settimo, of the Environment and Health Department of the Istituto Superiore di Sanità, at the press conference on the analysis of the epidemiological situation.
"All domestic air conditioning systems do not exchange the air - added Settimo - but move the air already present; therefore, if not correctly managed through a replacement with the opening of the windows, this can represent a risk because there is a concentration of chemical pollutants in addition to the criticality due to the presence of several subjects.
