According to the indictment, the explosions were part of an extortion attempt against a married couple with connections to the addresses where the deeds in Husby and Kista took place.

The man in the couple is said to have owed the 22-year-old who is now charged with inciting SEK 270,000.

When he could not pay and the pressure on him increased, he fled abroad.

Then the threats instead began to be directed at his wife and the debt increased to one million kronor.

She tried to raise money to pay her husband's debt but was unsuccessful.

She then moved home to a relative, who reported the threats to the police.

Two days later, it was blown up at two addresses with connections to the couple.

Hotades via Instagram

The threats were sent via an Instagram account which it would turn out that several people had access to.

- When we started hearing from certain people about their use of the account, we received additional information in the form of chats through telephone analyzes of confiscated telephones, says Detective Inspector Jacob Påhlman.

The chats led the police on to the 22-year-old suspect who has been charged with inciting general destruction and aggravated extortion.

A 24-year-old man is charged in the same case, suspected of aggravated extortion.

Among other things, he must have taken the target's car as a mortgage until he pays the debt.

Further suspects detained in Spain

Another person, a 29-year-old man, is a suspect in the case.

However, he is in custody in Spain on suspicion of murder and aggravated assault and the police have not succeeded in getting him extradited and thus have not been able to prosecute him at this stage.
