No more than eight people should gather to celebrate Christmas this year, the government and the Swedish Public Health Agency announced at a press conference on Tuesday.

Psychologist Anna Jacobson understands that many feel stressed and dejected about the situation and that it does not turn out as they had hoped.

Nevertheless, she believes that it is important to try to be flexible.

- It will be very important to ask the question: how can I celebrate this Christmas so that it will be as good as possible for me despite the external circumstances, she says in SVT's broadcast.

Try to be flexible

Anna Jacobson also emphasizes the importance of trying to be there for relatives who will be alone during Christmas.

- Then we come to this again with flexibility, it is possible to help with digital solutions, it is possible to be seen outside, it is possible to encourage oneself to take care of oneself in different ways, she says.
