The French international Paul Pogba "is unhappy" at Manchester United and "must change air" from the "next transfer window", assures his agent Mino Raiola in remarks granted Monday to the Italian sports daily Tuttosport.

"We must speak clearly: Paul at Manchester United is unhappy, he can no longer express himself as he would like and as expected of him. He must change teams, change air," says the influential agent, according to extracts posted Monday evening from an interview to appear Tuesday in the columns of the newspaper.

"He has a contract which will end in a year and a half, in the summer of 2022, but in my opinion the best solution for the parties would be that of a transfer at the next transfer window", adds Mino Raiola, without specifying whether he talks about the January transfer window or next year's summer transfer window.

Otherwise, he adds, Man U runs "the risk of losing him" without touching anything, "as it is not the player's intention to extend at the moment."

These words of Raiola contrast sharply with those he made in August, when he assured that the 27-year-old French international midfielder, in Manchester since 2016, was "at the heart" of the Red Devils project and that discussions were underway for extend Pogba's contract.

The 2018 world champion is having a difficult start to the Premier League season, often appearing lacking in pace and confidence in a system where he sometimes struggles to find his place.
