During the All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference "Medicine and Quality - 2020", Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko proposed to consider new measures to combat the spread of coronavirus infection COVID-19.

“The second wave shows us that the emerging foci within the country require, probably, consideration of a certain restriction on the movement of individuals, including between the subjects, and also sometimes within the subjects in order to limit the spread of infection,” said Murashko.

According to him, the use of restrictive measures is necessary before the appearance of drugs that can affect the epidemic process.

“Before we can learn to actively manage pharmaceuticals, we will have to use measures such as anti-epidemic restraint systems, lockdown systems, and so on.

This is a forced measure, but in order to preserve the life and health of the population, it is permissible, ”the head of the Ministry of Health said.

Over the past 24 hours, 28 142 new cases of coronavirus infection were detected in 85 regions of Russia (29 039 and 28 782 were recorded in the preceding two days).

“First, the vaccine manufacturer, the Gamaleya National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology, has been working on this platform for decades.

In addition, in terms of clinical development, they have worked on similar vaccines based on the adenovirus vector for at least five years.

As a reminder, since December 4, mos.ru has launched an electronic registration for vaccination against COVID-19.

The next day, 70 vaccination centers were opened in the capital, organized on the basis of city polyclinics.

Every day from 08:00 to 20:00, they are vaccinated against coronavirus infection.

At the moment, only representatives of risk groups - employees of medical and educational institutions, city social services at the age from 18 to 60 years old with attachment to the city polyclinic - can sign up and be vaccinated with Sputnik V.
