Berlin (dpa / bb) - According to a media report, the Berlin Senator for Finance Matthias Kollatz (SPD) has accused the federal government of disbursing funds from Corona aid programs too slowly.

"Above all, we would like the federal government to pay out the funds from its aid programs more quickly," he told the Berliner Zeitung (Monday).

In spring, the state of Berlin designed the emergency aid in the shortest possible time and then processed 200,000 applications in three days.

The federal government had the same goal with the bridging aid, but only managed a fraction.

The money is there, but it lingers too long.
