Weißenfels (dpa) - The basketball players from Syntainics MBC must continue to wait for their first sense of achievement this season.

The Weißenfelser lost their home game against Hamburg Towers on Sunday with 80:85 (28:45).

While the Central Germans suffered their third defeat in the third game, the still unbeaten Hanseatic city settled with their fourth success in the top group of the basketball Bundesliga.

TJ Shorts (17), Maik Kotsar (14), Terry Allen (13) and Kameron Taylor (12) had the largest share in the Hamburg win.

The outstanding Michal Michalak (29) and Kyndahl Hill (16) scored the most points for the MBC.

The hosts were completely beside themselves in the first two quarters and already gave away the possible plus points in this phase.

With a 17: 3 run after the break at 45:48 (26th), the MBC reconnected and even managed to equalize at 55:55 (29th).

But in the last quarter the guests played their cleverness, moved away to 74:64 (35th) and saved this lead over time.
