The police responsible for the Bundestag are investigating an unconstitutional symbol that was installed in an elevator in a Bundestag building.
A Bundestag spokeswoman confirmed this on Sunday evening in Berlin at the request of the German Press Agency.
Previously, an employee of the Green MP Dieter Janecek had posted a picture on Twitter that shows a scratched swastika.
The incident took place in the Jakob-Kaiser-Haus, not in the Reichstag building.
"The place in the elevator in a Bundestag office building has been temporarily pasted over," said the spokeswoman for the Bundestag.
