Pfungstadt (dpa / lhe) - Due to several corona infections, a refugee accommodation in Pfungstadt with around 80 residents has been quarantined.

How long the quarantine period will last is still unclear, as the Darmstadt-Dieburg district administration announced on Saturday evening.

Eight people had previously tested positive in a mass test.

According to the information, a security service is on site so that nobody can leave or enter the property.

The health department had ordered the mass testing after four residents tested positive for the corona virus.

"The decision to quarantine the entire facility is painful for everyone involved and involves major restrictions, but it is absolutely correct," said District Administrator Klaus Peter Schellhaas, according to the announcement.
