"Over the past day, testing for coronavirus infection was carried out in 442 people, the diagnosis of COVID-19 was confirmed in 111 of them," RIA Novosti reports a message from the local operational headquarters.
It is also noted that a 58-year-old patient died from coronavirus in the Gudauta Central District Hospital.
The total number of detected COVID-19 infected in Abkhazia is 6,511, recovered - 4,645, deaths - 87.
Earlier it was reported that quarantine measures on COVID-19 were extended in Abkhazia until January 12, 2021.
