The updated situation in Italy and in the world



The epidemic curve in Italy is decreasing.

There are 21,052 new cases today, compared to 24,099 yesterday, compared to 194,984 swabs, 18 thousand less than yesterday.

However, the positive-swab percentage drops to 10.7% from 11.32% 24 hours ago, and the reduction on a weekly basis is also visible (last Saturday, for example, the new cases were over 5 thousand more).

The number of deaths is still high, 662 today, in any case down from 814 yesterday.

The total victims are 59,114.

The decline in hospitalizations is strengthening: intensive care units are 50 fewer (yesterday -30), 3,517 in all (with 192 new entries today).

While ordinary hospitalizations drop by 1,042 units (yesterday -572), for a total of 30,158.

The currently positive in Italy are still decreasing, which are 3,533 less than yesterday: according to the data of the Ministry of Health, they are now 754,169.



In Lombardy 3,148 new cases and 111 deaths


In Lombardy, 3,148 new cases of coronavirus were detected in the last 24 hours compared to 31,193 (4,253,306 the total) swabs performed (10% the positivity rate).

Yesterday 4,533 infections were found on 42,272 swabs.

The deaths in the last 24 hours were 111, bringing the total number of deaths to 22,884.



Veneto exceeds 4,173 deaths, 74,956 total positive


The Veneto touches the 4,173 victims since the beginning of the Coronavirus epidemic, with 108 new deaths in the 24 hours.

The data emerges from the regional Bulletin.

The constant growth of new infections continues for a total of 74,956 cases since the beginning of the pandemic.

The current positives are 74,956 (+2,027).

The clinical situation is stable, with 2,719 hospitalizations in non-critical areas while 312 intensive care patients descend.



In Emilia Romagna 1,964 new cases and 52 deaths


Since the beginning of the Coronavirus epidemic, 131,973 cases have been registered in Emilia-Romagna of positivity, 1,964 more than yesterday, out of a total of 18,663 swabs performed in the last 24 hours.

The percentage of new positives on the number of tampons made by is 10.5% (from 12.1% yesterday).

Of the newly infected, 991 are asymptomatic.

In the last 24 hours, 18,663 swabs were carried out, for a total of 2,211,300.

Added to these are 1,841 serological tests and 1,393 rapid swabs carried out since yesterday.

As for the total number of people healed, they are 2,339 more than yesterday and reach 56,270.

The active cases are 69,629 (- 427 compared to yesterday).

Of these, people in isolation at home are 66,679 (-412), 95.7% of the total number of active cases.

There are 52 new deaths.

In total, 6,074 deaths in the region since the beginning of the epidemic.

There are 243 patients admitted to intensive care (- 5 compared to yesterday), 2,707 those in the other Covid departments (-10).



Puglia 1,884 positive cases and 28 deaths


Today Saturday 5 December in Puglia 1,884 positive cases were recorded out of 10,119 tests for Covid-19 infection and 28 deaths.

Since the beginning of the emergency 832,380 tests have been carried out and 16,704 patients have recovered.

The total of positive Covid cases in Puglia is 62,552 and 44,160 are currently positive.



Lazio, 1,783 cases and 32 deaths


Today out of almost 21,000 swabs in Lazio (-2,027) there are 1,783 positive cases (-48), 32 deaths (-30) and +2,109 records of the healed.

Cases, hospitalizations and intensive care are decreasing.

Rome city returns below a thousand cases.



In Campania 1,521 cases and 55 deaths


There are 1,521, of which 1,383 asymptomatic, the new cases of Coronavirus registered in Campania, where 18,636 swabs were carried out.

The dead are 55, even if the Crisis Unit of the Region specifies that 15 died in the last 48 hours, 40 previously but recorded yesterday.

The total number of victims rises to 1,958.

1,961 people recovered (60,422 in all).

The number of intensive care beds occupied are 165 out of 656 available, while hospital places are 1,558 (out of 3,160).



In Piedmont 1,456 new cases and 62 deaths


Today the Crisis Unit of the Piedmont Region communicated 1456 new cases of people tested positive for Covid-19, equal to 9.6% of the 15,100 swabs performed.

Of the 1456 new cases, 665 were asymptomatic, equal to 45.7%.

There are 62 deaths of people positive for the Covid-19 test reported by the Crisis Unit of the Piedmont Region, of which 6 occurred today.

The total is now 6,568 deaths who tested positive for the virus.

The total of positive cases thus becomes 176,519.

There are 366 hospitalized in intensive care (+9 compared to yesterday).

Non-intensive care patients are 4276 (-75 compared to yesterday).

There are 62,121 people in home isolation.

The diagnostic swabs processed so far are 1,655,759 (+15,100 compared to yesterday), of which 820,139 tested negative.

A total of 103,188 patients recovered (+3107 compared to yesterday).



Tuscany, another 41 dead but also 3,463 recovered


Still new infections for Coronavirus in Tuscany, but down to 769 new cases (average age 49 years) while the deaths are 41 bringing the regional total to 2,839.

This was reported by the report of the last 24 hours released by the Region.

Cases of positivity reach 107,644 units.

The swabs performed reached 1,633,330, +13,229 on yesterday, of which 5.8% positive.

The currently positive inhabitants in Tuscany are now 30,544 (-8.2%).

Among them the hospitalized are 1,634 (-47 units, -2.8%) of which 261 in intensive care (2 less) and 28,910 patients in isolation at home with mild or symptom-free symptoms (-2,688 on yesterday, -8 , 5%).

There are 32,839 people in quarantine (-1,031 on yesterday, -3%) in active surveillance because they have had contact with infected people.

The total number of people healed are 74,261 (+3,463 over yesterday, + 4.9%) of which 468 clinically healed (+14 over yesterday) and 73,793 (+3,449 over yesterday, + 4.9%) declared healed in all respects, the so-called viral healings, with negative swab.



In Friuli Venezia Giulia 755 new cases, 21 deaths and 7,853 swabs


Today in Friuli Venezia Giulia 755 new infections have been detected (9.61 per cent of the 7,853 swabs performed).

In addition, 21 deaths from Covid-19 were recorded, in addition to a further 10 previous deaths entered into the system today and relating to the period 8 November - 2 December.

This was announced by the deputy governor with responsibility for Health, Riccardo Riccardi.

The people who have tested positive for the virus in the region since the beginning of the pandemic totaled 34,765.

The current cases of infection are 15,506.

The number of patients being treated in intensive care has dropped to 58 and 640 are hospitalized in other wards.

The total deaths amounted to 1,008.

The totally healed are 18,251, the clinically healed 442 and the people in isolation 14,366.  



Marche, 418 positive on 1,464 molecular swabs


In the last 24 hours, 4,326 swabs have been tested in the Marche: 2,556 in the new diagnosis path, of which 1,092 in the screening with the Antigenic pathway and 1,770 in the healed path.

The positives on the 1,464 molecular swabs carried out are 418 in the new diagnosis path.

These cases include 54 symptomatic subjects, contacts in the home setting (104 cases detected), close contacts of positive cases (111), contacts in the work setting (19), contacts in living / social settings (8), contacts in a care setting ( 5), contacts with the involvement of students of all educational levels (13), health care pathway screening (7).

For another 97 cases, epidemiological investigations are still being carried out.

In the 1,092 tests of the Antigen Screening pathway, 15 positive cases were found (to be subjected to the molecular swab).



In Abruzzo 376 new cases and 14 deaths


Today in Abruzzo 376 new positives out of 5161 swabs, 14 deceased (of which 9 dating back to the past few days and reported only today by the ASL, 11.764 recovered (+907), 17,247 currently positive (-545), 748 hospitalized (of which 73 in intensive care), 16,499 in home isolation.



In Calabria 306 new cases


In Calabria to date 367,635 subjects have been tested for a total of 378,383 swabs performed. The people tested positive for Coronavirus are 18,197 (+ 306 compared to yesterday), negative ones 349,438. These are the daily data relating to the Covid-19 epidemic communicated by the Health Protection Department. The cases confirmed today are divided as follows: Cosenza 128, Catanzaro 28, Crotone 73, Vibo Valentia 5 , Reggio Calabria 72.



Alto Adige, 266 new cases and 3 deaths


Three deaths and 266 new cases of Covid-19 have been recorded in the last 24 hours in Alto Adige. Three people died yesterday from coronavirus for a total of 572 from the

beginning of the pandemic.

The people who tested positive for a PCR swab rose to 25,113 out of a total of 151,590 tested.

Hospital admissions are down.

Covid patients admitted to normal wards are 259 (11 fewer than yesterday), those in affiliated private facilities are 151 while people needing intensive care are 31 (4 fewer in two days).

There are 13,429 people healed, 337 more than yesterday.



In Trentino another 9 deaths and 226 new positives


Today there are another 9 deaths from coronavirus in Trentino.

In the face of more than 5,000 swabs, 226 new positive cases have been identified, alongside 223 cases intercepted by rapid antigenic tests.

The average age of the deceased is 84 years.

On the hospital side, yesterday ended with a number of discharges higher than the new hospitalizations: 31 against 28. The current situation therefore sees the presence of 452 Covid patients, of which 48 in resuscitation (one more than yesterday) .

On the school front, there are 26 other positive children (yesterday the quarantined classes had dropped to 63).

The data were disclosed by the provincial health services company.



226 new cases in Umbria, 5.88% positivity rate


There are 226 new cases of Covid positivity ascertained in Umbria in the last 24 hours, out of 3,840 swabs analyzed, with a positivity rate in line with that of yesterday, at 5, 88%.

It emerges from the official data of the Region updated to 5 December.

The healed are 493 (18,310 since the beginning of the pandemic).

Seven deaths.

The currently positives are down and go from 6,423 to 6,149 (274 less).

Seven new hospitalizations are reported, 392 in all, of which 61 in intensive care (four more than yesterday).

The total swabs performed since the beginning of the pandemic are 435,623.



In Basilicata 145 new cases and 8 deaths


In Basilicata 1,412 swabs were carried out to search for contagion from Covid-19, of which 145 (and among these 131 residents in Basilicata) were positive.

155 healings were recorded, but 8 people died.

With this update, the currently positive Lucanians are 6,211 of which 6,058 in home isolation.

2,211 people have recovered since the beginning of the health emergency and 166 have died (in addition to 3 who died in Basilicata but resident in other regions).

153 people are currently hospitalized in Lucanian hospitals.



In Valle d'Aosta 46 new cases and 4 deaths


There are 46 new positives in Valle d'Aosta for a total of 6,692 since the beginning of the pandemic, according to data from the regional bulletin.

The current positives are 1,056, 24 fewer than yesterday, of which 107 are hospitalized.

Among these 9 are in intensive care and 940, 20 less than yesterday, instead they are people currently in home isolation.

330, on the other hand, have died since the beginning of the pandemic, 4 more than yesterday.
