The team of coach Hansi Flick came after two defeats to a 3: 3 (2: 2) against pursuers RB Leipzig and now has 23 points.
Leipzig is two points back second.
Jamal Musiala (30th) and twice Thomas Müller (34th and 75th) scored for the hosts.
The Leipzig goals were scored by Christopher Nkunku (19th), Justin Kluivert (36th) and Emil Forsberg (48th).
