05 December 2020The anticyclonic structure positioned on continental Europe hinders the natural progression towards the East of the vast and deep depression area with a center of action on Great Britain.
The result is the persistence of an intense flow of humid and unstable south-western currents on our Peninsula, with scattered to widespread rainfall, even thunderstorms, with a snowy character in the Alps with very abundant contributions to the ground, accompanied by a general reinforcement of ventilation.
Based on the available forecasts, the Department of Civil Protection has issued a new warning of adverse weather conditions that integrates and extends the previous ones: a
red alert
was assessed for tomorrow
on some sectors of Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia and on the Autonomous Province of Bolzano.
Orange alert
on the remaining basins of Friuli Venezia Giulia, on most of Veneto, Emilia-Romagna, Lazio, on the Autonomous Province of Trento, in Umbria, Abruzzo, Campania, Molise, Puglia, Calabria and on the entire territory of Sicily.
Yellow alert was
also
assessed
on some sectors of Lombardy, Veneto, Emilia Romagna, Liguria, Marche, Lazio, Abruzzo, Campania, Molise, Calabria, Puglia and on the entire territory of Tuscany and Basilicata.
