Checks on the roads

New Year's Eve


In hotels with restaurants on New Year's Eve, dinner will be allowed only in one's own rooms.

"From 18.00 on 31 December 2020 and up to 7.00 on 1 January 2021 - writes the Viminale - catering in hotels and other accommodation facilities will be allowed only with room service. '' From 21 December 2020 to 6 January 2021 there is a ban on travel between different regions or autonomous provinces, regardless of the respective level of risk, unless there are proven work needs, situations of necessity or health reasons 'but' 'in any case, the return to one's residence, domicile or home is still permitted, with the exclusion of travel to second homes located in another region or autonomous province'.

The circular emphasizes that `` among the situations of need, for which the use of the self-declaration form remains unaffected, may include, merely by way of example, the need to reach relatives, or friends, who are not self-sufficient, purpose of providing assistance to them '.

"Therefore, people residing, for example, in France who enter Italy for tourism - writes the Interior Ministry - will equally be subject to quarantine, as well as Italian citizens who, having gone to France for tourism, return to the national territory to reach their residence ".

"The obligation of health surveillance and fiduciary isolation will also apply to people who, being in the conditions previously specified, have left the national territory even before 21 December 2020 or return there after 6 January 2021".
