His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah said: “Volunteer work is a noble human value, and a large aspect of the lives of the Emirati sons and daughters,” affirming that “volunteer work constitutes a noble human value and is an important tributary to achieving the comprehensive development of societies. And it enhances the morals of individuals through their active contribution and unlimited giving. ”

In a speech on the occasion of International Volunteer Day, His Highness added: “The concept of volunteering has expanded, and it is no longer linked only to charitable work and the provision of aid, but has expanded its base to include all the needs of society. Volunteer work occupied a large part of the lives of most of the nation’s sons and daughters, and has become a way of life for them, and this is evident through their community contributions and contributions in various circumstances and occasions ».

His Highness continued: “What is gratifying and proud of, are the contributions that we found in our governmental and private institutions in general, and educational institutions in their various stages in particular, and their role in supporting and encouraging their affiliates to engage in volunteer work and encourage it.
