Apple announced a new repair program for iPhone 11 (iPhone 11), and according to the company, some phone users may face the problem of screen stopping responding to touch.

And as Apple reported, a small percentage of iPhone 11 models manufactured between November 2019 and May 2020 were affected by this problem.

The company says the problem is related to a failure of the display unit which should be replaced in order for the phone to operate properly again.

And Apple provided the exchange program exclusively for the regular iPhone 11 model, and it does not apply to "iPhone 11 Pro" (iPhone 11 Pro) or "iPhone 11 Pro Max" (iPhone 11 Pro Max).

The company stated that a small percentage of iPhone 11 screens may stop responding to touch due to a problem with the display unit.

Users can check Apple's support website to find out if their phone is eligible for the trade-in program using its serial number.

If your iPhone is eligible for the program, you should contact Apple to transfer it to the Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider.

Apple replaces affected devices for free, and the repair program covers affected models for a period of two years after the unit's initial retail operation.

If the problem arises at some point during the two-year period, you are still eligible for a free replacement.

If the device suffers from damage that impairs the ability to complete the repair, such as a broken screen, this problem should be solved first.

Apple may refuse to provide free technical support for such damaged devices, and there may be a cost associated with the additional repair in some cases.

According to the company, your iPhone is examined before providing any service to verify its eligibility for this program, and Apple recommends that you keep a backup copy of the iPhone via iCloud or a computer.

It is noteworthy that the company previously launched several repair programs for different products. In October of this year, it provided a free program for repair if the user is facing problems with wireless headphones "AirPods Pro" with regard to the noise cancellation feature.

In January of this year, it also announced a free repair program to replace some iPhone cases with a built-in "Smart Battery Case" due to charging problems.
