Magdeburg (AP) - CDU General Secretary Paul Ziemiak has accused the SPD and the Greens in Saxony-Anhalt of wanting to burst the Kenya coalition out of tactical calculations.

"The SPD and the Greens want to break the coalition agreement," wrote Ziemiak in a guest article for the "Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung" (Saturday).

The coalition partners are not interested in increasing the broadcasting fee.

"They are concerned with nothing other than questioning the Union's credibility in dealing with the AfD," wrote Ziemiak.

The three-party alliance in the Magdeburg state parliament threatens to break due to the dispute over the increase in the radio license fee.

In the coalition agreement, the parties had agreed: "When financing public service broadcasting, we are sticking to the goal of stable contributions."

The SPD and the Greens see the additional requirement of 86 cents per month and contributor determined by an independent commission covered - the CDU does not.

The CDU wants to prevent the increase if necessary with the votes of the AfD, should the coalition partners not switch to the CDU line.

Ziemiak once again clearly ruled out cooperation with the AfD.

«It is the anti-Germany party.

It is the new political home of many neo-Nazis. "

CDU country chief and interior minister Holger Stahlknecht said in an interview that the CDU would continue to govern solely through a minority government, should the coalition break up due to the dispute.

Prime Minister Reiner Haseloff (CDU) then dismissed him as Minister of the Interior.
