A woman in her 50s is considered guilty of attempted incitement to murder, stamping for murder and preparation for the murder of a well-known lawyer, Stockholm District Court writes in a press release.

"After individual deliberation, the district court has found that convincing evidence has been presented that the main suspect woman has committed the accused acts," the press release states.

The woman will now undergo a forensic psychiatric examination.

After that, the punishment for the crimes will be determined.

In the meantime, she will continue to be detained.

It was in September 2019 that the lawyer was hit by two shots from a pistol, one in the abdomen and one on his bag, on Kungsholmen in Stockholm. He received life-threatening injuries but survived. Last summer, a 54-year-old man was sentenced to 14 years in prison for the attempted murder.
