The Balearic Islands have active yellow weather warnings this Friday (risk) due to wind and adverse coastal phenomena, due to the storm 'Dora'

that will be noticed in almost the entire country, according to the prediction of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).

These notices will be active until 6:00 p.m.

The swell warnings affect all the Islands and waves of three to four meters are expected.

Wind warnings affect Pitiusas and part of Mallorca -Tramuntana and the southwest of the Island-.

Maximum gusts of wind of 70 kilometers per hour are expected.

Aemet issued a special notice on Thursday due to the maritime storm that will affect all the coastlines this Friday, especially Galicia and the Cantabrian area.

The Atlantic front, known as 'Dora', will continue to sweep the Peninsula from the northwest to the southeast, causing cloudy or overcast skies with widespread rainfall in the northwest half of the Peninsula.

Rainfall may be locally strong or persistent in Galicia and the Cantabrian Sea, and will be accompanied by storms.

During the day, cloudiness and rainfall will spread to the rest of the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands

, in a weaker way in general except in the mountains, where they will be more intense.

At the end of the day, only cloud cover will remain in Galicia, Cantabrico, Estrecho, Melilla, the Balearic Islands, the Southeastern mountains and the central system.

Daytime temperatures will drop on the Atlantic and Cantabrian slopes and in the Pyrenees, with little change in the rest.

However, this Friday there will be frosts in the northern half of the peninsula and the mountains of the southeast, locally strong in the Pyrenees.
