According to statistics from the China Meteorological Administration, the largest drought area occurred on November 19, and the area of ​​moderate and above meteorological drought reached 468,000 square kilometers.

Among them, 47,000 square kilometers of severe drought and 5,000 square kilometers of extreme drought.

At present, the meteorological drought in the region is still continuing, and drought in parts of Yunnan has also begun to develop.

  On November 30, there were moderate meteorological droughts in southern Jiangnan, central and eastern South China, and Yunnan, with severe droughts in some areas.

Meteorological drought caused poor soil moisture in some counties and cities in Fujian and Jiangxi, which adversely affected the growth of dryland crops and planting of vegetables and potatoes.

Many places in Guangdong have high forest fire risks.

  The China Meteorological Administration made a forecast on December’s climate on the 4th. The precipitation in Northeast and South China will be less in December. Among them, the northeast of Inner Mongolia, the northwest of Heilongjiang, the south of Zhejiang, most of Fujian, the south of Jiangxi, and the east of Guangdong will have less precipitation By 50%, parts of northeastern Inner Mongolia and northwestern Heilongjiang are 50% to 80% less; the eastern part of the northwestern region and the northern part of the southwestern region have more precipitation.

  In the next 10 days (December 5-14), most areas of China will have little precipitation. There will be intermittent rainy weather in the eastern part of Southwest China, Jianghan, Jianghuai, and northern Jiangnan, with weak precipitation, and most other areas will have no obvious precipitation process.

  Meteorological experts reminded that the southern part of Southwest China, Jiangnan, and parts of southern China need to pay attention to the continuation or development of meteorological drought and do a good job in forest fire prevention.
