Tuttlingen / Villingen-Schwenningen (dpa / lsw) - Two municipalities in hotspots in the southwest would like to introduce stricter corona measures.

The district office of the Schwarzwald-Baar district will inform about further measures in a press conference today, as a spokeswoman said.

According to the district office, the district of Tuttlingen would also like to publish stricter rules to contain the corona pandemic on Friday.

The state government had previously announced nightly exit restrictions for the corona hotspots in the southwest in circles with more than 200 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within a week.

This is currently the case in the Tuttlingen district and the Schwarzwald-Baar district, but also in Mannheim, Pforzheim, Heilbronn and the Lörrach district.

More than a million Baden-Württemberg residents live in these hotspots.

According to the government, the new rules will come into force next week.

The city of Mannheim had announced a nocturnal exit restriction and other measures before the state was announced on Thursday.
