At the meeting, Wu Yan, Director of the Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education, introduced that China currently ranks first in the world in the number of MOOCs and application scale. The number of online MOOCs has increased to 32,000, and the number of learners has reached 490 million. The number of credits in the course is 140 million.
During the new crown pneumonia epidemic, all colleges and universities implemented online teaching, 1.08 million teachers gave a total of 17.19 million courses, and a total of 3.5 billion online learning students, forming a new form of education that can be learned all the time, everywhere, and by everyone.
