A koala, Australia's representative animal, was caught entering a house and climbing the Christmas tree.

According to CNN in the United States, Amanda McCormick, a resident near Adelaide in southern Australia, encountered a koala hanging from a tree when he came home after going out on the 3rd (local time).

The koala rescue group '1300 Koalas', who received his report, said it initially thought it was a joke call.

The company said on Facebook that day, "Our control room worker received a call this evening. At first, he thought it was a prank call, but it wasn't."

He added, "A koala, who wanted to create a Christmas atmosphere, entered McCormick's house and decided to become a tree elf."

The company captured and released healthy female koalas in adolescence near their home.

The representative of the company said that the koala was on the tree that went up when I went the next day and released it.

Although koalas look cute, experts point out that they need attention because they have long claws and sharp teeth.

Koalas are one of Australia's leading animals, but their population has declined in recent years due to habitat loss and increased road kills.
