Moers (dpa) - Part of the estate of the cabaret artist Hanns Dieter Hüsch (1925-2005) goes to the city of Moers.

According to Friday's announcement, the exhibits are to be made accessible to the public.

Among them the red sweater of the artist, who has always shown himself to be very connected to his hometown on the Lower Rhine in his programs.

Also pictures and drawings of Hüsch and private things like a walking stick should be donated to Moers as a permanent gift, as Hüsch's wife decided.

«The greatest treasure is rather inconspicuous.

It's the handwritten notebooks and manuscripts.

This shows how Hüsch's works were created, what inspired him.

A real treasure trove for Hüsch researchers, ”says museum director Diana Finkele happily.

Some of the objects are to be seen as a permanent exhibition in the old district office.
