The final inspection of the 160-kilometer stretch took place on Thursday.

And according to project manager Michael Sjöland, only a few adjustments now need to be made before the road is inaugurated.

Exactly what time on December 10 the road opens, however, Sjöland does not want to reveal.

- To counter queue formation, we will not say that, but it is at least sometime during the day, he says.

Saves five minutes driving time

As the new E22 between Sätaröd and Vä is inaugurated, the entire stretch between Malmö and Kristianstad will be meeting-free.

Road users will save five minutes by not having to drive through Sätaröd and Tollarp.

The road project has cost just over SEK 1 billion.
