Embassy checks information on detention of NTV journalists in Turkey

"The Russian Embassy in Turkey and the Russian Consulate General in Istanbul are in contact with the Turkish authorities, clarify information about their possible detention, and are making the necessary efforts to establish the whereabouts of the journalists," the Foreign Ministry said.

The Foreign Ministry expressed hope for the operational assistance of the Turkish side.

Earlier, the NTV channel reported that two employees of the Central Television program were detained in the suburbs of Istanbul - reporter Alexei Petrushko and cameraman Ivan Malyshkin.
