An American police officer who saved a little girl from an abused family two years ago has become the child's'real family'.

On the 3rd in local time, foreign media such as the US ABC introduced a special relationship between Brian Jacques and 4-year-old Kayla, the head of the Kingman Police Department in Arizona.

In March 2018, Mr. Jacques, who was then sergeant, received an urgent request for assistance while on patrol.

There was a report of child abuse in a nearby family home.

Jacques, who visited the site with his colleagues, first met Kayla, a two-year-old who was covered with scars.

While police arrested the victims of the abuser, Kayla's guardians, Jacques took care of her left alone at the police station.

Kayla enjoyed having snacks and coloring games with Zach, and Zach quickly fell in love with the bright and cute Kayla.

The two soon separated as Kayla left for the hospital to be treated for the trauma she suffered from her abuse, but Jacques continued to care for Kayla.

A few days later, Mr. Jacques received news from Kayla.

He said he had to stay in a child care facility until the treatment was over and a new guardian appeared, but it was difficult because there were no vacancy right now.

Mr. Jacques immediately called his wife and talked about Kayla, and his wife, Sierra, said happily, "Let's get Kayla at our house."

After living in the same house with Mr. Jacques, Kayla quickly adapted to her new life.

In particular, after two days, I started calling Mr. Sierra'Mother' and surprised everyone in the family, but

strangely

,

I didn't call Mr.

Jacques'Dad

.'

Jacques looked back at the time and said, "It seems that Kyla didn't know the word'Dad' at all. After learning the meaning of'Dad' while in kindergarten, he called me Dad."

The plan to protect Kayla for a while until she finds a place to stay went on for over two years until this year.

Eventually, Jacques and Sierra eventually adopted Kayla, who turned four in person in August.

Mr. Jacques said, "I did my best to give my affection and interest because I didn't know when to break up. So, I suddenly became a family."

Kingman Police Department said, "Mr. Jacques and his wife, Sierra, are really great parents. I am proud to be a member of our book."
