For vaccinations against Covid-19, you must first register on a specially dedicated website, and meet the criteria formulated by the Moscow City Hall.

You must be 18 to 60 years old, not have received a vaccine for a month, and above all belong to one of the professional categories selected for this first vaccination campaign: doctors, teachers, or social worker.

According to the Moscow city hall,

70 vaccination points will be operational from Saturday

.

The vaccination itself should last about an hour: this includes preparing the vaccine, since the Sputnik V vaccine is stored at a temperature of minus 18 degrees, and medical observation for half an hour after the injection.

Beginning of vaccinations despite unfinished clinical trials

Russia wants to go fast, too fast in the eyes of some specialists.

Indeed, the famous third phase of clinical trials is not finished, it will be next January, and its final results will not be published until July 2021. The Russian authorities see no major drawback, and are satisfied with the results of the first two phases which have proven, according to them, the efficacy and safety of this vaccine.

But according to a poll carried out in October by the independent institute Levada, 59% of Russians say they are reluctant to be vaccinated and they were only 54% in August.

The apprehension about this vaccine is not weakening, on the contrary it is increasing in Russia, despite the very optimistic and somewhat triumphant statements from the country's authorities about the

Sputnik V vaccine
