Allensbach (dpa / lsw) - During excavation work for a school building at the Hegne monastery in Allensbach (Konstanz district), three human skeletons were discovered.

District archaeologist Jürgen Hald reported on Thursday that it was the bones of two adults and one child.

There are no additions.

The uniform orientation and the usual supine position of the deceased speak in favor of regular burials in a smaller cemetery.

However, the exact age cannot be estimated more precisely without scientific dating.

It remains open at the moment whether the graves are burials from the time of Hegne Castle, the older medieval village or from prehistoric times.
