He spotted unoccupied houses then went there, at night, during his weekends or on vacation ... For nearly four years, a man in his forties committed no less than 130 burglaries committed to around his home, located in the town of Mazé (Maine-et-Loire).

On Wednesday, this hitherto unknown worker was tried by the Angers court, before a hundred victims present at the hearing, report

He was sentenced to six years in prison.

A host of objects

The man, who explained his gesture by marital problems, indulged in real raids and left his burglaries with a host of objects of all kinds.

Appliances, food, clothing, toys, plants… It was finally thanks to a stolen phone that the gendarmes were able to find his trace in the spring.

The defendant would not have sold any of these thefts, which allowed this compulsive thief to equip his house but also those of his ex-wife and his mother.

The latter was also sentenced to 12 months in prison with probationary suspension, for money laundering.
