Minors: An insider's 'menas' center in Madrid: trials to rob by the 'mataleón' and hiding crimes from the Police
Events: The crime of 'menas' increases in Madrid: there are already three out of four minors arrested
Minors The police siege in Casa de Campo transfers the crimes: four robberies by the 'mataléon' in Campamento and Aluche and two hospitalized
Two minors from the Casa de Campo reception center were arrested and another three were identified last weekend after leading several disturbances in the compound at dawn and
attacking the National Police agents who entered defending themselves with shields to try to reduce to the rioters.
The revolt began at 2:00 a.m. last Saturday when several
mena
used drugs, listened to music at high volume and did not stop shouting in the entrance courtyard of the facilities without respecting the measures established in the enclosure.
"The kids were totally gone and nobody got hold of them and a very fat woman got messed up," said one of the workers.
The security guards at the center tried to get the kids who didn't stop screaming in Arabic to return to their rooms.
Far from giving up their aptitude, they were very aggressive, so
the National Police
were
notified, since the minors "were completely drugged and did not want to enter their rooms," according to one of the center's educators.
The policemen were received with throwing objects and threats, for which they had to use anti-riot equipment as shields and defenses to dissolve the revolt.
The officers repeatedly asked the agitators to enter their rooms, but the minors continued to intimidate and insult the police officers.
Finally, the officers addressed by
menas
they started to run and go to their rooms.
The police surrounded the leader of the revolt who, at the time of his arrest, spat and attacked the officials by kicking and punching.
Subsequently, the agents located the other leader of the incidents who they found inside a bathroom, pretending that he was defecating.
This minor also attacked the policemen with his fists.
As a result of the incidents, four policemen were slightly injured.
The minors were taken to the Grume (Juvenile Group of the Judicial Police) and the following day they were released and returned to the center.
The Department of Social Affairs of the Community of Madrid, which depends on the Casa de Campo center for unaccompanied minors managed by the Diagrama Foundation, reduces the severity of incidents.
He clarifies that there was no riot although he
acknowledges that the National Police entered the center and that they took two minors from the facilities who had arrived a little disturbed.
"When there is an altercation and when the facts exceed a bit of the educational work the Police are required," they point out.
It indicates that the two boys returned the next day "when they did not find sufficient reasons to take them to court," they added.
This is the second serious incident to occur at the
ore
center
in recent months.
The agents of the UPR (Prevention and Reaction Unit) of the National Police re-entered this past summer to dissolve another revolt.
The residents of the Casa de Campo have been mobilizing for several months so that the
menas
center
moves from place to place and the site is once again a hostel of the Community of Madrid.
"There is a clear illegality in setting up a center for minors in the Community of Madrid that runs a private company in a site that is a Site of Cultural Interest such as Casa de Campo. In addition, they deceived us by telling us that the least conflictive would come and that they were not going to be more than 50, "reiterates the neighborhood spokesperson.
Residents have held several rallies and report that
insecurity has increased in the area.
They also point out
that violent crimes have soared in Madrid's lungs.
In recent weeks there have been several robberies
by the
mataleón
procedure
in areas near the Casa de Campo such as Aluche and Campamento.
