03 December 2020Caution prevails in financial markets pending developments on the vaccine front. Closing in no particular order for European stock exchanges: Milan closed up by 0.16%, London by 0.42%, while Frankfurt lost 0.45% and Paris 0.15%. Wall Street, shortly after the close of the European stock exchanges, proceeds tonic: the Dow Jones gains 0.62% and the Nasdaq half a point. The American lists are helped by the good data coming from the US labor market: requests for unemployment benefits are falling. The euro is at its highest in two and a half years and is trading at 1.2150 against the dollar. Spread down to 112 basis points (0.56% yield).
