China News Service, December 3 (AFP) According to AFP, the Dutch police said that on December 2 local time, a knife wound and fire occurred in the main shopping street of The Hague, and three supermarket employees were injured.

A 43-year-old male suspect has been arrested.

Local media quoted police sources as saying that there is no indication that the incident is related to terrorism.

  According to reports, parts of the city centre of The Hague were blocked by emergency services.

After the police dispatched helicopters and police dogs to conduct a large-scale search, a 43-year-old man was arrested.

  The police said on social media that the emergency services department had received a report earlier that "stab wounds and fire occurred in a supermarket in the Grote Markt".

The police pointed out that two supermarket employees who were stabbed had been taken to the hospital for treatment, and three police officers were also taken to the hospital for inhaling heavy smoke at the scene.

  According to the report, when asked whether there were signs of terrorism in the incident, a police spokesperson said that the suspect’s motive for committing the crime was not yet known.
