Hamburg (dpa / lno) - The Hamburg Towers have also won their third game in the basketball Bundesliga.

At the Telekom Baskets Bonn, the team of coach Pedro Calles won on Thursday evening thanks to an increase in performance after the break with 93:63 (65:54, 35:39, 23:28) and at the same time celebrated the highest Bundesliga success in the club's history.

The best thrower from Hamburg was Kameron Taylor (21 points).

The guests got off to a bad start and were already 7-0 down after 90 seconds.

Although the Hanseatic League subsequently scored their first baskets, the Bonn attackers couldn't get the otherwise strong defense under control.

The gap grew to ten points after around 6:30 minutes.

It wasn't until the end of the quarter that the towers found their way into the game and kept up.

In the second quarter, both teams hardly managed anything on the offensive for a few minutes.

After that, the hosts were able to set themselves apart again.

But in the final phase, Hamburg shortened the gap again.

At the beginning of the third quarter, the towers looked like they had been changed.

After three successful hoops in a row, Calles' selection took the lead for the first time and temporarily increased the lead to twelve points in this period of the game.

With a further eight points in a row, the Hanseatic League ensured the preliminary decision in the final section.
