Rotenburg (dpa / lno) - In a dispute between two families in Zeven (Rotenburg district), a couple was hit by a car on the sidewalk.
According to the police, the confrontation escalated on Thursday morning so much that a 47-year-old and his 38-year-old wife were seriously injured.
According to witnesses, the officers suspected that a 32-year-old Zevener had deliberately hit the couple.
After the first collision, he reset his car again and drove against the injured again.
The man and a 35-year-old relative who followed in his car got out of their vehicles and trampled the couple lying on the ground.
The two were driven to a hospital.
The 32-year-old was taken into police custody and is due to be brought before a judge on Friday.
The 35-year-old was released.
