Hinterzarten (AP) - The German national coach for women, Andreas Bauer, is hoping for an early introduction of the Four Hills Tournament for female ski jumpers.

This is what Bauer told the German Press Agency with a view to the Olympic winter 2021/22, when there will be further competitions for women in November.

"We have to tackle the tour as the last bastion a year later," added the coach.

The women's Four Hills Tournament has been a topic in the scene for years, but should not be included in the program either this winter or next.

Due to the corona, the ski jumping women and combined athletes lost the first competition that should have taken place this weekend in Lillehammer.

Svenja Würth is aiming for a change from ski jumping to combination.

"She is the pioneer with women," said Bauer about the intended role reversal.

The women's Nordic combined is part of the 2021 World Cup program in Oberstdorf, but will not yet be Olympic in Beijing in 2022.
