It is reported that a total of 4.45 million tickets have been sold in Japan, and the number of refund applications received this time is 810,000, accounting for about 18% of the total.

  According to Japan’s mid-term plan for Olympic epidemic prevention announced on December 2, based on the epidemic and other factors, it is expected that the number of live audiences will not be finalized until the spring of 2021.

When IOC President Bach visited Japan in November, he also stated that a "reasonable number" of spectators would be allowed to enter the venue.
