Kiel (dpa / lno) - Since the outbreak of the corona pandemic, at least 46 residents have died in connection with the dangerous virus in Schleswig-Holstein's old people's and nursing homes.

These cases had been reported to the state registration office from March to the end of November, the Ministry of Health announced on Thursday in Kiel at the request of the German Press Agency.

A total of 419 corona infections in old people's and care facilities were registered during the period.

In November alone, the state registration office recorded 113 infections and seven deaths in connection with outbreaks in old people's and care facilities.

According to the state government, a total of 258 people died in connection with Covid-19 nationwide in Schleswig-Holstein by the end of November. From the beginning of the pandemic to the end of November, 14,580 infections were registered.
