Will the measure satisfy the Bordeaux economic sector, which had denounced the stopping of the air shuttle between Mérignac airport and Orly?

SNCF and Air France are announcing in any case this Thursday that from December 3, the “Train + Air” offer - which already exists between 14 stations and the two Parisian airports of Orly and Roissy - will also be offered between Bordeaux Saint-Jean train station and Orly airport.

The first circulations of this new link will start from December 15th.

Concretely, customers will travel by train from Bordeaux to Massy TGV, before being transferred to Paris-Orly by a taxi service.

Five daily departures will be provided from Bordeaux Saint-Jean (at 5:59 am, 8:04 am, 8:59 am, 12:59 pm, 3:59 pm) and four from Massy TGV (at 9:14 am, 5:13 pm, 7:14 pm, 8:56 pm).

As a reminder, before the Covid-19 crisis, ten air shuttles per day circulated between Orly and Mérignac airport.

Connections across the entire Air France international network

The idea of "Train + Air" is "to allow connections across the entire Air France international network from Paris airport, and in particular to overseas destinations (Cayenne, Pointe-à-Pitre, Fort -de-France, Saint-Denis de La Réunion) ”underlines Air France in a press release.

Bordeaux customers will benefit from all the advantages of the Train + Air product, in particular a single end-to-end ticket with the guarantee, in the event of a missed connection, of the transfer to the next plane or the next train, at no additional cost.
