Berlin (dpa) - On the eve of actor Wolfgang Stumph's 75th birthday, ZDF will broadcast a special from the “Stubbe” series on January 30th.

Then, after an eight-year break, his daughter Stephanie Stumph (36) is also part of the party.

In the film “Tödliche Hilfe”, a freelance journalist in Hamburg, she is asked by a friend from Dresden to help clarify the death of his mother in need of care.

Father Stubbe is a retired criminalist, but is also active in the case.

“Stubbe - From Case to Case” (1995-2014) was a hit as a crime series. In the first episode, Stephanie Stumph was just a little girl. Heike Trinker, Stephan Grossmann, Wanja Mues, Christine Schorn, Sebastian Urzendowsky, Oliver Mommsen and Tessa Mittelstaedt also play in the “Stubbe” special, according to Thursday's announcement.
