Fulda (dpa / lhe) - A drunk truck driver has parked his oil-laden tanker truck in the right lane of the motorway and went to sleep.
The police said that he had already driven in a serpentine way over several lanes of Autobahn 5 near Fulda.
He slowed down another semitrailer and almost collided with the guardrail several times.
At the Hattenbacher Dreieck, the 34-year-old driver parked his truck in the right-hand lane, drew his curtains and got ready for bed.
The truck was loaded with 23 tons of oil, the police said.
An alarmed patrol had secured the vehicle and arrested the driver.
According to the police, a breath alcohol test showed a value of around two per thousand.
The man's driver's license was secured.
