Frankfurt / Main (dpa / lhe) - A heavy forklift truck weighing around 17 tons fell from a truck in an accident at the Frankfurter Kreuz and rolled over the lane.
The forklift did not hit any other vehicles, but it hit the central barrier, as the police announced on Wednesday morning.
Accordingly, there was an estimated damage of around 200,000 euros.
The 52-year-old driver was taken to hospital injured.

According to the police, the driver had left the lane to the right on Tuesday evening for an unexplained cause and hit the guardrail. He lost the loaded heavy-duty forklift. The autobahn in the direction of Darmstadt was completely closed for several hours. In the traffic jam there was at least one other rear-end collision, the police said.
