Berlin (dpa / bb) - The number of new corona infections in Berlin is declining - but the traffic light for the 7-day incidence remains on red. There were 181.6 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the past seven days.
That emerges from the status report of the health administration on Wednesday.
The intensive care beds with Covid 19 patients were occupied by 24 percent, the corresponding traffic light continued to show yellow given the proximity to the limit of 25 percent.
The corona traffic light remains green for the reproduction number.
It is now at 0.89.
The so-called R-value says how many people an infected person infects on average.
The aim is to achieve values well below 1 so that the pandemic slows down.

In total, there have been 67,264 confirmed corona cases in Berlin since the start of the corona pandemic.
That is 958 more than on Tuesday.
618 patients across Berlin died after a corona infection - 24 more than the day before.
46 150 of the confirmed corona infected are considered to have recovered.
Spandau is still ahead among the districts with the seven-day values.
Around 260 cases were reported there per 100,000 inhabitants during the period.
