Hamburg (dpa / lno) - The Hamburg school authorities are currently reporting 41 new corona infections at 31 schools, including 34 schoolchildren and 7 school employees.
The school authorities announced on Wednesday that these are usually individual infections per school.
In a weekly comparison, the number of new infections fell by 41 percent.
The health authorities have placed three classes in preventive quarantine.
A total of 162 schools have currently reported 335 infections. 273 schoolchildren (0.1 percent of the total student population) and 63 school employees (0.2 percent of all school employees) are affected. There are currently 76 classes (out of around 9,500) and 185 school employees in preventive quarantine, eight classes more than before. The affected 2,206 students make up 0.9 percent of Hamburg's total student body (256,000 students).
